This role can be a remote WFH or hybrid, or fully office based, depending on where you are based and how you prefer to work.

The BI & Reporting team is responsible for providing valuable insights and analysis from a wide range of data sources, to unlock opportunities and drive informed business decisions for both SE First and our clients. Primarily working with Power BI, you will design and develop the BI data platform with user-friendly tools and reports, so that relevant information can be efficiently gathered and easily interpreted by the stakeholders. Having a numerical background and being passionate about sustainability is important to the role.
You will also be supporting the further development of a successful business intelligence function throughout the business, which will become increasingly important as the need to provide data driven sustainability opportunities gains the spotlight.
Having the skills/knowledge required would be advantageous but training will be provided as needed for the right candidate.
The role
- Design and implement bespoke energy management reports for clients, providing advice and support to help them reduce their consumption.
- Create automated versions of client reporting through the Power Platform tools, to create efficient reports that are useful to our clients and our internal analysts.
- Support the commercial team by providing specialist demonstrations to potential/existing clients.
- Create new reports for areas of the business that require management information and/or business intelligence.
- Maintain and upgrade live reports and dashboards with new functionality and requests.
- Investigate and test new products/programs that may be helpful to improve the business intelligence and/or reporting services.
- Support the business in analysing and interpreting relevant data to find internal and external opportunities to help meet sustainability goals.
- Demonstrate your passion for sustainability by using your BI tools to motivate and engage both colleagues and clients.
Our ideal candidate
- Experience in data analysis and handling large data sets
- Highly proficient with MS Excel, and confident using all core MS Office products
- Experience using a business intelligence or data analysis platform (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Enjoys looking for innovative solutions and improving processes
- Confident when working with stakeholders to determine requirements and presenting report findings
- Passionate about sustainability and making positive changes
- Able to inspire and support customers to reduce their energy consumption
- Knowledge or experience in the Energy Industry
- Numeric/analytical education
- Excellent written English
