We are looking for an energy administrator to work in our payments and disconnections department to provide dedicated, administrative support to Sustainable Energy First's energy management department.

The role

  • To provide a customer payment and debt management service, supporting energy management, energy procurement and strategic account management teams.
  • To provide a customer utility payment and debt management service in line with Sustainable Energy First customer contracts and in line with Sustainable Energy First’s quality policy and objectives.
  • The co-ordination and processing of change of tenancies (COTS)
  • Manage and process customer utility reconciliations
  • Manage and process customer utility remittances
  • Manage and resolve customer utility disconnections

Our ideal candidate

It's essential that you are able to manage a fast-paced work environment and can adapt quickly when an account needs specific attention to avoid any disconnections. Being able to prioritise and organise your work is of the upmost priority.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with data and systems has an excellent eye for detail and is passionate about process efficiencies, with great people liaison skills as we'll expect you to build good relationships with energy suppliers. You need to be technically minded, good at Excel and someone who takes a pride in their work, seeing a job done accurately and efficiently whilst being a great team player.

Ideally, you'll be in the energy industry already, with bags of enthusiasm and a good base of industry knowledge. Being good with people, numerate and able to learn new systems and processes quickly goes without saying.

At least one year's experience within the energy industry is preferable but not essential as all training will be provided.
