The role

  • Provide 2nd line support to the infrastructure environment.
  • Assist in the design and development of IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Improve and maintain system documentation, processes, and asset management records.
  • Proactive systems administration and monitoring.
  • Provide desktop support cover when necessary.
  • Provide user training and guidance on bespoke systems and Office 365.

Our ideal candidate

It is essential that the successful candidate has / is experienced in the following:

  • Microsoft Business Domains (On-premises, Hybrid and Azure based)
  • Virtualisation infrastructures – Hyper-V and Failover Clustering
  • Storage systems SAN / NAS – PowerVault and Synology
  • Desktop, laptop and server hardware – Dell, HP, Apple, Microsoft
  • Network security appliances – Watchguard, DrayTek, HP Aruba, Netgear.
  • Infrastructure-wide monitoring tools.
  • VPNs – BOVPN, SSL, IKEv2
  • VoIP Telephony – DialPad, Teams
  • Backup and DR Solutions – On-premises and cloud based
  • MDM solutions – Intune and AutoPilot
  • ESET EndPoint security products
  • Microsoft 365 products and services – Office 365, Azure, PowerBI, Stream and Exchange.
  • Asset management systems
  • SharePoint Online

To be successful in your application, you need to be an all-rounder that has a passion for information technology, who is keen to learn and develop along with the business.

You will have had 4+ years of working in multidisciplinary IT environments and held working relationships with all levels of businesses. It is essential that the successful candidate be an excellent communicator, has excellent attention to detail and a logical approach to troubleshooting.

This role reports directly to the Head of Infrastructure and presents opportunities for role progression, learning and development, as well as an excellent benefits package.
