We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to provide outstanding customer service to Sustainable Energy First’s extensive portfolio, linking risk managers and customers through excellent communication, reporting and documentation. Our new Procurement Specialist will be responsible for their own customer base, from onboarding through to contract renewals and general day to day management of customers energy portfolios.

The role

  • Deliver an energy procurement support service to the Risk Managers and customers in line with Sustainable Energy First’s quality policy and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Risk Managers and SAMs to provide support in relation to the procurement of energy.
  • Secure customer renewal agreements for both supply contracts, fixed, flex and flex consortium/basket.
  • Create and deliver accurate and informative client reports, in line with contractual SLAs.
  • Present fixed & flex consortium options to prospects in a clear and concise manner to support the new sales process.
  • Manage and conduct fixed, flex & consortium tenders with suppliers and report to customers on the outcome of tender exercises, including making Sustainable Energy First recommendations.
  • Review energy supply contractual documentation, including supply contracts, terms and conditions to ensure that it is in line with that which has been negotiated and is fit for purpose.
  • Update clients on supply transfer process where a change of supplier is recommended.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of Sustainable Energy First ‘s process, outputs, and service delivery within the energy procurement team.
  • First point of contact for all procurement related queries from customers and suppliers.
  • Responsible for the pro-active management of your own customer base, comprising of customers in fixed, flex and consortium contracts as well as water & Irish contracts, this will include contract renewals, contracts additions, registrations and objections, checking and rates to our systems & general customer queries.
  • Read the Daily markets updates and attend the weekly energy market updates to keep on top of what’s going on in the markets and time your renewals accordingly.
  • Ensure our database is kept up to date with the latest supply contract details.
  • Regular reporting of achieved rates to customers.
  • Liaise with Energy suppliers.

Our ideal candidate

You will have been in the energy industry for a couple of years and have a good understanding of the energy industry and markets. You'll be analytical and highly numerate with a strong ability to communicate with others, written and verbal.
